| Defoamer for Fountain Solution Circuits 29 00 01 Properties: Defoamer 29 00 01 solves every foaming problem with minimum dosage. Application: We recommend to mix the defoamer directly into the fountain solution circuit or to add the corresponding amount to the isopropanol used (1 liter per 200 liter isopropanol). The defoamer can be used for all fountain solution additives. Special recommendation: Generally, our fountain solution concentrates are designed in a way that no foaming problems are to be expected under standard processing conditions. If you should still experience foaming, the following reasons may be responsible: a) Too low temperature: A temperature of 12°C in the water pan is sufficient. If the temperature is too low, turbulences in the water pan or dosing unit may occur due to the high flow rate and this will cause foaming. b) The cross section of filter and / or supply pipes has become smaller because of sedimentation and dirt accumulation. This will also accelerate the flow rate and thus lead to foaming. c) The fountain solution concentrate was changed and dirt residues of the previous product are rinsed out or incompatibilities of the wetting agent or other foam forming components occur. Dosage: 0.01 - max. 0.05 % = 10 - max. 50 ml for 100 l circuit water or max. 1 l for 200 l Isopropanol: Note: Do not use this product for dispersion coatings.
