| Dispersion Silver Coating 5230 water based, for inline use Application: Over a photopolymer plate the water based One-Component Dispersion Silver Coating is applied wet-on-wet by means of a coating device or anilox roller with doctor blade of an offset press on forerunning inks or forerunning dispersion coatings. The water based Dispersion Silver Coating has drying characteristics similar to a usual dispersion coating. Printing results of very high brillance are achieved, similar to results given by rotogravoure printing. Printing Viscosity: 30 sec. measured in a 4 mm DIN cup at 20°C Viscosity adaptations are to be carried out with water. Printing Plate: Photopolymer plates by DuPont, BASF Remark: It is recommended to overcoat the silver coating inline with a dispersion coating or to perform a subsequent outline coating in order to achieve maximum rub resistance. The metallic gloss becomes somewhat weaker. If the dispersion silver coating is applied on a forerunning dispersion coating the metallic gloss is preserved. Clean machines and equipment with water. Sedimentation of the pigments occurs after longer storage time. Coating must be stirred thoroughly before use. Protect from frost and temperatures above 35°C (sunlight, radiator, etc.)!
